Long story short - the headphones did not work properly with the dongle. I installed the CD software and then paired my headphones while then later serverly regretting that decission.

HOWEVER, this device also comes with a CD with bluetooth software and I just have to say this as clearly as possible:ĭO NOT INSTALL THE SOFTWARE ON THE CD IF YOU WANT TO CONNECT BLUETOOTH HEADPHONES TO A PC. So I bought this, put it into the pc and bluetooth was enabled. First of all I bought this because I have a Windows 10 computer that doesnt have built in bluetooth and I have a pair of Sony WH-CH500 wireless headphones. However I feel the need to write some of my very negetive experiences with this. Just insert it into a device that doesnt already have bluetooth and boom you're done. Its a very small item but very easy to install. After this I then went back into device manager to check for updates on the driver which it did find and installed successfully. This could be a device wide issue or just and issue with my USB adaptor.

All times before I used a USB 3.0 Port (the port has the blue prong inside it) on the PC, every time I have done this I get a General Error 43 when Windows tries to setup the device. To fix this I uninstalled the device manually through Device Manager on Windows 10, Installed the drivers from the ASUS website itself which comes with an automatic installer, I then unplugged the device from a USB 3.0 port and switched it to a USB 2.0 Port which then worked fine. It does what it says on the packaging, albeit with some fiddling around if you plug it into the incorrect USB Port.I have had this issue across 3 different PC's that do not have Bluetooth capability.I have eventually narrowed down the issue to the port that the device is plugged into.
